Hi everyone,
I hope this post finds you well.
After driving a Subaru Forester and CrossTrek for 11 years, purchasing the 2026 Palisade Calligraphy has been an exciting upgrade.
However, I am new to this forum and want to share an issue with the 2026 Palisade Calligraphy, in case you are considering getting one.
It is crucial to test the auto-folding function for the 2nd- and 3rd-row seats before you drive off from the dealership lot.
In my case, the 3rd-row left headrest did not fold down properly, preventing the seat from lying flat, and the trunk switch malfunctions. It led to the left-side seats, including the 2nd row, getting jammed, which can be pretty inconvenient and something you would want to avoid.
Upon reporting the issue, I had to leave the vehicle at the service department. They are currently investigating whether it is a mechanical problem or a seat-programming issue, given that the model is so new. They might even need to replace the entire seat.
While it is not ideal to feel like a beta tester for a brand-new Palisade Calligraphy, I am optimistic that this will be the first and the last issue I encounter.
I am sharing this experience with you all to help you avoid the issue.
Best regards,
BK
